The Ed Brown Scholars & Fellows Program provides mentorship, professional development, and industry exposure to students interested in pursuing careers in horse racing operations, business, sport management, hospitality, and related fields.

Through this initiative, the Ed Brown Society will award a $3,000 scholarship ($1,500 per semester) to students who meets program eligibility requirements and demonstrates a strong commitment to joining and actively participating in the Scholars & Fellows Program.

Scholarship recipients benefit from access to exclusive networking opportunities, leadership training, and internship preparation designed to support long-term career growth within the Thoroughbred racing industry & beyond.

Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum 3.2 GPA

• Strong communication and networking skills

• Demonstrated coach-ability and professionalism

• Interest in internship opportunities and career development

• Major in Business, Project Management, Hospitality/Tourism, Sport Management, or related fields

• Financial need may be considered

The 2026-2027 Scholarship application will re-open on June 29, 2026.
